M. Mehdi Mirzazadeh, Ph.D., P.Eng., brings exceptional technical expertise to Newtron Forensic Engineering as a Senior Structural Engineer. With a Ph.D. from Queen's University and master's degree from the University of Waterloo, Mehdi combines rigorous academic training with extensive practical experience in forensic investigations.

As a licensed Professional Engineer across Ontario, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia, Mehdi has served as Engineer of Record for over 100 restoration projects and conducted more than 450 site visits in Canada and the US. His expertise includes advanced structural health monitoring using fiber optic sensing (FOS),and digital image correlation (DIC) techniques, fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) strengthening systems, and comprehensive failure analysis.

Mehdi's contributions to the field extend through his role as a committee member for ASCE's Forensic Engineering Division and Cold Regions Engineering Division, as well as his peer-reviewed publications in leading engineering journals. His work at consulting and engineering companies has established him as a trusted expert in complex structural investigations and restoration projects.
