Yannick Roy is Newtron's senior civil and structural forensic engineering leader for Western Canada. He has more than 20 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, forensic investigation, construction disputes, and litigation support.

Yannick specializes in complex structural failures, construction deficiencies, standard-of-care assessments, foundation systems, and large-loss investigations involving buildings and infrastructure. He provides expert consulting services to legal counsel, insurers, contractors, owners, and other stakeholders on builder's risk claims, professional liability matters, and technically complex disputes.

His work often involves identifying causation, assessing the adequacy of design and construction, evaluating repair options, and helping clients make defensible decisions in high-value claims and litigation. Yannick has led multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex litigation and arbitration matters across Canada and the United States and has provided expert testimony in court, arbitration, and deposition proceedings.

Yannick is licensed in multiple jurisdictions and is fluent in both English and French.
